Age Gap Relationships

In dating there are many forma of couples. There are gay, straight, young, old, young and old and everything in between. All of these relationships are becoming accepted in this day in age now. Age gap relationships may have some people talking, but who cares.

The perfect age gap for partners is four years and four months - but only when the man is older, a survey has found. A study of 2,000 adults showed that just one percent of women believed the "ideal relationship" was with a younger man. Men were also reluctant to be a boy toy, with just two percent saying they would rather be with an older woman.

As far as age gaps go, many determine an ideal age gap to be between three and six years. Most people of course prefer the age gap to be on the lower end of the spectrum. Most women are fine with a larger age gap up to seven years older.

Despite this, more than a third said they assumed when they saw a women with a much older men that he was "very rich", while one five assumed "it wouldn't last". A quarter said that they viewed women with older men as "gold-diggers".

Age gap dating actually has many benefits that most are not aware of. By dating someone that is older than you, you can learn new perspectives from them since they have more experience. As far as the older partner goes, with being with a younger partner, their youth will rub off on them.

With such diversity in this world we live in, it is becoming common and accepted for age gap relationships to exist. Love is all that should matter in a relationship and people are recognizing that. Age gap relationships of course can bring about many issues and you have to be prepared for them.

Some people do believe there is a plus side to having an age gap in a relationship, and those people should not be judged. If that is what they want to do that is their decision and where their heart takes them. No one should be giving advice on love once they start discriminating against someone's preference and choice.
