Will The Antichrist Be A Muslim

By Mollie Burton

The identity and origin of the famous antichrist has been a question that has been on the minds of many religious believers simply. This man is known as one of the future leaders of the world who will woo the people into believing his own brand of ideology and will eventually bring suffering later on. One of the theories of this man is will the antichrist be a Muslim or not.

Now there are actually several books that have been published about this theory. Now the whole basis for this theory is simply because recently, there have been incidents involving Muslim terrorism. Since their goal is world control for Allah, it is possible that the one who plans to conquer the world is the antichrist.

Now one of these books were written by a Bible scholar who is named Philip Goodman. In his book, he states that this leader would be of a descent that comes from the East part of the former Roman empire. If one would look closely at the map, he would actually see that this area contains Iraq which is the country that many terrorist leaders would come from.

In Micah chapter five, there is a verse that states that during the end times, the Assyrians would try to invade Israel. Now looking further into history, Iraq was actually formerly known as none other than Assyria. So if one would think about it, this leader may actually have an Islamic background because he comes from Iraq which was formerly the land of the Assyrians.

Now aside from taking a look at the Bible, one may also take a look at the Quran. Now somewhere in the Quran, the prophet Muhammad was said to have a dream of a man who would become an evil leader. This man is known to the Muslims as the Masih ad Dajjal.

The Masih ad Dajjal is known as the false ruler who would rule the world under his own brand of Islam during Judgment Day. He is known to be a man who is able to work miracles and shall fool all the people into believing that he is a god. He will be able to take over the world for many years until the Masih or Messiah comes to smite him.

Now if one would put the book of Revelation together with the Quran, one can actually see a lot of similarities. One of the minor differences would actually be that according to the Muslims, the Dajjal would be originating from Khorasan instead of Iraq. However, one can see that these two lands are actually very close to each other and would still point out to him coming from an Islamic region.

So by taking a look at the two ancient books, it can actually be seen that there is a big possibility that he is of Islamic faith. However, what he preaches will be radical Islam which aims to conquer the world. Under his power, the world will suffer years of tribulation and struggle until he is inevitably defeated.
