Becoming Members Of Churches In Denver

By Rosella Campbell

One of the most common questions many people ask about Christianity is whether it is a rule to be part of a local church. While churches in Denver are flooded every Sunday with believers who want to know more about Christ, there are people out there who are still not sure about this issue. Below are reasons why, as a Christian, you should consider joining a church.

The number one reason why you need to join the church is so that you are able to bring glory to the Almighty God. Nothing honors God more than seeing His children gather to worship, praise, and share the message of the Kingdom of heaven. When Christians come together and share the gospel of truth, the devil feels ashamed because he knows that God receives the glory.

When members who form the body of Christ come together, they are able to edify one another. Remember, if a brother in the congregation is going through a problem, they will need help and support from the other members of the church. If the other members are not available to stand with the suffering brother, there will not be any fellowship at all.

With false gospel spreading like bush fire across the globe, there has to be someone to stand up for the truth and tell people the true message of Christ. It could be you, your friend or your family that the Lord is calling to spread the true Gospel of the Kingdom of God. It is time people listened to the truth about who God is, his real plan for humankind and life after earth.

Most people argue that going t church is a personal choice. It is okay that it is not necessary and in fact, the Bible does not mention anywhere that it is necessary that one go to the church. However, once you are born again, you need to be part of the body of Christ to have an assurance of your salvation. You are able to communicate, get to know more about Jesus and stay at the feet of Jesus and under the care of mature believers to be sure of your salvation.

If you have the spirit of God and the mind of Christ, you will find yourself having the desire to join other Christians, be part of them, and worship with as well as serving them. If you say that you know Jesus but lack the desire to join other believers in the church, then you are not a mature Christian. Pray to God to give the desire to be part of others so that you grow strong together.

When you interact with other believers, you will begin to understand what Christianity really is. You will stop seeing it as a religion and reason with other people. You will stop seeing it as a self-based religion as see it as the body of Christ himself. When you interact with and serve other Christians, you will begin to see what Christianity is like.

The moment you will become part of the body of Christ, you will get the chance to witness how people worship. If you are new to this, you will learn something new. That way, you will become a mature person in Christ.
