Be Sure You Can Always Refer To A Dining Rules And Etiquette Guide

By Marissa Velazquez

While many "civilized" folks live according to dining rules and etiquette guide behavior, it is sometimes entertaining to throw them for a loop and act out in public. Some haughty individuals will be mortified by your behavior but their reactions can be entertaining and self-gratifying. Watching a "1%" citizen drop their jaw to the floor can be the best way of getting a kick for yourself.

Consider attending a formal party without the right attire. Showing up to a black tie party or dinner can provide endless laughs if you wear the wrong stuff. Blue jeans and a t shirt can make the right crowd grimace and grumble about your presence. Wearing a hat at the table can give some folks a near coronary.

There are lots of options for learning these skills and the easiest place to start is online, with a search engine. Rather than be embarrassed by ignorance, stun your friends and business associates with savvy skills that most folks never learn. There are all types of different individual rules and expectations that apply to all different situations.

Chewing loudly with your mouth open is one good way of offending the "upper crusties" and talking while doing it adds insult to injury. Joke often about inappropriate table talk, for example toilet humor, and laugh through the food in your mouth, very loudly and as obnoxiously as possible. If the opportunity presents itself, you can go so far as to burp and break wind with great volume. Make sure if you do, to blame it on the host or the guest sitting closest to you.

As a general rule, your dining ware and glasses are reserved for specific uses and there are definite rules about which side your food comes in on and which side your dirty dishes leave the table from. Mixing these things up isn't really all that horrible but the awkward situation that arises from it can be avoided very easily. Give yourself the right opportunity by informing yourself.

Casual parties and dinners may not have a dress code but wearing inappropriate clothing can still be a disaster. If you show up in a band t-shirt and ripped up jeans, you won't be breaking any type of rules but you may still provide a bad impression. Always consider the company you will be keeping and the venue you will be attending.

The reality of the situation is that there is a class war going on, globally, that has been getting worse and worse with every passing year. The people who control most of the money that exists are actually an extreme minority. The old family money and big business CEOs deserve a little dose of vulgarity occasionally. Even if it offends them.

Bothering people who live by dining rules and etiquette guide lifestyles can be a rewarding and hilarious past time. Giving them a dose of reality and obscenity just might remind them that the rest of the "peons" exist. Familiarizing yourself with the rules that they live by gives you a better opportunity to offend them.
