Love & Marriage

By Nicole Rowland

More and more individuals are viewing the unusual YouTube channel of Nicole and Dave Rowland since they witness; the makeup Dave applied on Nicole looked terrible, the couple firing rubber bands at targets made out of toilet roll and even a heartbreaking tribute to a highway-abandoned treadmill. This duo is not trying to make people laugh; this marriage-centric lifestyle is what they refer to as 'Doing Life Together'; and it can be about to save relationships around the world.

To Nicole and Dave, having spent about 30 years together is like forever. Having initially met in the 7th grade, their friendship and love is still as exciting even if they're presently in their early forties. They opted to offer suggestions and share their life on line when they made a promise to strongly work on their friendship after noticing that many couples they know are breaking up. Therefore 'Doing Life Together' was created - a project spanning twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

In addition to interacting with their viewers and sharing advice on what they have learned through the years, Dave explained that the objective is to show what a happy marriage really looks like. As parents and as a couple, they have been through a lot. Continuing, "Coming out of every hardship, we remained extremely aware that we can't live without each other. The same can be said for millions of couples, but they sadly break up before coming to the realization. This of course has a ripple-effect which ultimately breaks down wider society. We share many of the same struggles with these divorcees, yet Nicole and I adore each other more and more each day. We now would like to share with the world what that looks like."

If theory and common sense were the only two options, Dave and Nicole will definitely choose the latter. Every YouTube video tackles often difficult subject matter with the humor and (sometimes zany!) illustration of what is apparently an unbreakable friendship.

They travel all-around the city and talk about the reasons why they are in love. They persuade the audience to participate in the 'Cupid Cupcake Challenge' which proves how they always have fun in their numerous trips and journeys. Though they persevered to work hard to get there, they still consider themselves fortunate. This is something anyone could attain and you could start this type of life if you join them online.

About The Couple: Society would be better if families are happier and Dave ad Nicole think that this is possible through healthy marriages. The goal is to show their world through their channel on YouTube and motivate other couples. The story is really one of a kind. When Dave and Nicole met for the very first time, they were in the fourth grade going to the same school. They became a couple when they were in the seventh grade and when they turned fourteen years old, their bond became permanent even if they briefly broke up; navigating the tumultuous teen and torturous high school years together. They decided to get married when they turned twenty, after 7 years of being together. They have had both happy and sad times. Twenty three years have passed and their commitment and love for one another is still strong.
